What you’ll need:

  • AluWood panels (240 x 45.1 x 3.3 cm)
  • Wind barrier
  • Battens (max 80 cm apart)
  • Circular saw
  • Screwdriver
  • Ruler/tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Screws for mounting the panels and joists:
    • Front screws (35 mm for mounting the panels) Use 12 screws per panel.
    • Back screws (19 mm for securing the lamellas after cuts)
  • Insect screen (1800 mm)
  • AluWood capping (optional, for window, corner, bottom etc.)
  • AluWood slats (for corner capping)

Step-by-step installation:

  1. Prepare your wall
Remove any old materials. Install the wind barrier and mount clamping strips for proper ventilation. Install battens with a max distance of 80 cm.
  2. Install insect screen
Whether at the top or bottom, make sure the insect screen covers the area and blocks unwanted pests. Attach it securely by driving screws through the screen into the clamping strips.
  3. Install capping around windows (if applicable)
If you're installing around a window, mount the AluWood capping first for a water-tight fit. If you want additional capping for aesthetics, you can install it either before or after panel installation, depending on the space.
  4. Measure the area and cut the panels
Measure and mark the panels to fit. Cut the panels with a circular saw, ensuring the 15-degree slope is at the bottom for water drainage.
  5. Secure the panels to the wall
Use front screws (35 mm) to attach the panels to the battens. Ensure the 15-degree slope faces downward. Drive screws through the aluminum into the battens, ensuring they align with your markings for a clean, straight look.
  6. Install the next panel
Overlap the next panel on top of the previous one, following the same process. Drive screws through both layers of aluminum into the battens.
  7. Final touch – Install capping
If you have a window, install the AluWood capping for a polished, water-tight finish. Ensure there's enough space for capping if added after the panels.
